To be honest, I miss the sun. For the past two weeks there has been nothing but clouds and rain in Barcelona. Yes, in Barcelona! A city known for its year round incredible weather, perfect for having a drink on a terrace after work. But recently the gloomy weather has taken a toll on morale.
So while browsing through trovit.com earlier this week looking for a place I wouldn’t mind spending inconsiderable amounts of time in, I came across some impressive lofts. So this month, I decided to share some of the best properties I could find where weathering out the winter months wouldn’t be sooo bad!
Our Top Pick: Tribeca’s Finest
I found this first loft in the mother city of lofts: New York City. And I must say, this owner has out-done themselves with this masterpiece.
This landmarked cast-iron building in Tribeca has been meticulously restored. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, three powder rooms and two loft levels and soaring 17-foot ceilings with original wood beams and Corinthian columns. The first floor’s enormous great room, adjacent to a private landscaped garden, flows into the chef’s kitchen with gas burning fireplace, marble island, built-in banquette, Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, and one of the 2 bedrooms with walk-in closet and en-suite bath. One flight up, the lofted mezzanine’s master suite has five closets, a private terrace and decadent bathroom with floor-to-ceiling Calacatta Gold Marble, vintage herringbone-patterned floors and a free-standing porcelain soaking tub. The two lower levels have endless recreational space and flexibility, in addition to a wet bar, laundry room, two powder rooms and home office.

Our Second Pick: Hong-Kong NYC style
This designer loft is perfectly located within walking distance from SoHo, PoHo, Central & MTR. The loft spreads over an entire private floor so we all know it’s perfect for entertaining. There are hardwood floors throughout the loft, matching the antique teak wood dining table & cabinetry. However, the perfect feature for the heart of the home is the exposed brick wall, Brooklyn style. Of course the kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a wine fridge, a water filtration system and a washer/dryer. In the living area you have a choice of LCD projector, 110″ screen or a 55″ TV, both hooked up to the surround sound. To round out this killer pad, you have lift access, 24/7 security and an electronic keypad door lock.

Our Third Pick: Industrial Loft in Paris
In the heart of the Montorgueil neighborhood, you can find this hidden industrial style loft. Here you can enjoy over 170m2 of luminous space in a renovated printing works in an 18th century building.
The central patio is the center point from which radiated out the ground floor. Here you can find a reception lounge, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. On the mezzanine, which is accessible by 2 staircases, there is the kitchen and vast family room, which are the heart of the loft. Here you can also access the terrace as well as the last bedroom. There are 2 separate street accesses from 2 different foot traffic only streets.
